Detail:  Everyone knows that the origin of Dancong is Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. But you may not know that there is also Dancong cultivar in Wuyishan. In the 1980s, the Wuyishan Tea Bureau introduced many foreign varieties in order to diversify tea products, such as Pinghe Qilan平和奇兰, Anxi Meizhan安溪梅占, and Yongchun Buddha’s hand 永春佛手 tea. etc. Dancong was also introduced at that time. According to the information provided by the owner of this tea garden,Fang Longsheng, this cultivar was that he purchased tea seedlings from the Tea Bureau in 1980 and then planted them. It is 44 years old .
 The tea garden is located in Caodun Village, Xingcun Town, Wuyishan City. We picked the tea on April 10th. Compared with other varieties in Wuyi Mountain, Mi Lanxiang is an early-maturing variety. The tea trees are more than 40 years old and have not been pruned. They are tall  trees. Only a very small number of farmers in Wuyi Mountain have this variety, and most of  them  do not sell it as Mi Lanxiang tea . They use this tea as a raw material for blending Dahongpao.

 I bought some fresh leaves from Mr fang in this spring and did the processed . At present, this tea has been charcoal roasted twice, which is a medium-light roast. The taste of this tea is strong, without bitterness. The fragrance lingers in your mouth. If you are familiar with the Dancong Mi Lanxiang variety in Chaozhou, you will definitely find familiar variety characteristics.
