Wuyi Black Tea

Wuyi black teas, or Wuyi Hong Cha (武夷红茶), are crafted in the renowned Wuyi Mountains of northern Fujian. This unique landscape of rocky cliffs, mist, and high elevation imparts a mineral depth that sets these teas apart. Unlike the semi-oxidised Wuyi Yancha oolongs, Wuyi black teas are fully oxidised, producing a rich, smooth character with long, twisted leaves and a natural elegance in the cup.

Flavours often range from dried plum, caramel, and honey to notes of malt and cocoa, with a clean mineral backbone that reflects their terroir. They can be enjoyed western style in a porcelain teapot for a warming, easy-drinking brew, or prepared gong fu style to reveal their layered complexity across multiple infusions.
